ABOUT KATE
WHAT MOTIVATES ME
Before I dive into sharing with you my qualifications, experience, and areas of expertise, I thought it important to tell you why I am here. What motivated me to provide New Zealand healthcare professionals supervision?
It's simple. Firstly, I want to break down barriers to professional supervision by offering my services to those who can benefit from my skills and knowledge regardless of where you are across the country. We have the technology thanks to virtual platforms!
Also, it would be fantastic to be able to help others to take the right steps towards achieving the careers they have dreamed of, while positively improving the overall experience patients have when exposed to the New Zealand healthcare industry. I've been at this for 35+ years - nursing and healthcare is my passion!

PERSONAL
I was born in Dunedin and have lived in West Otago for the past 26 years on a sheep, beef and arable farm with my family. A mum to Nick (22) and Gemma (20), a wife to Geoff, farm owner, and Nurse Practitioner. I am a lover of animals, the outdoors, photography, cooking and catching up with family and friends.

As my career evolved, I became increasingly aware of maintaining a life outside of nursing with interests that fill my personal bucket and relieve me from the stress of my work.

We all have stress, but how we learn to respond to it can make all the difference. Balance is fundamental to a successful health provider as much as it is crucial to our personal lives.

I believe that the professional supervision I received over the years, helped me to get to where I am today.
